The Game Awards this year were a showcase of exciting things to come in the gaming industry. One of the announcements was for the forthcoming world of Honkai: Star Rail, Penacony. The teaser also introduced a new character named Acheron to fans.
Acheron was one of numerous Honkai: Star Rail characters who had previously been leaked. Acheron and her story are yet unknown, although rumours suggest that she will be Honkai: Star Rail’s equivalent of Honkai Impact 3rd’s Raiden Mei and Genshin Impact’s Raiden Shogun.
Who is Acheron in Honkai: Star Rail?
Acheron is a Galaxy Rangers member. She has long dark purple hair, pink eyes, and holds a katana-style blade. According to early reports, Acheron will be a Lightning character who follows the Path of Nihility. This would imply that her skills will deal damage over time (DOT) and/or apply Curses to foes.The Galaxy Rangers are a freely formed righteous group that wanders the universe to protect virtue and justice, according to Honkai: Star Rail legend. The squad gained to prominence after successfully assassinating Lord Ravager Zulo.
Another notable expedition was when a lone Galaxy Ranger halted Dr. Primitive’s experiments as a member of the Genius Society. The Galaxy Rangers gradually disappeared from view after this mission. Dr. Primitive is thought to be responsible for their disappearance, however if Acheron is still alive, she could be the unidentified Ranger who went after Dr. Primitive’s experiments.
Acheron’s Connection to Raiden Mei and Raiden Shogun
Honkai: Star Rail features several characters from other HoYoverse games, such as Bronya, Seele, and Himeko. They may share names and appearances, but they come from diverse origins. Although the games aren’t directly linked, HoYoverse has previously revealed that they exist in a multiverse. As a result, players can anticipate more character crossovers.The characters in Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd are variations on Raiden Mei. They had dark purple hair and pink eyes, just like Acheron. Raiden Mei and Raiden Shogun, like the Galaxy Ranger, have lightning-based skills and are skilled at sword fighting.
- Raiden Mei: One of the main protagonists of Honkai Impact 3rd, alongside Kiana Kaslana and Murata Himeko. She’s also known as the Queen of Thunder and Herrscher of Thunder.
- Raiden Shogun: She’s a five-star playable Electro character in Genshin Impact. She comprises two beings in one body: Ei, the Electro Archon of Inazuma; and the Shogun, a puppet created by Ei to act as ruler of the region.
The parallels don’t stop there, since Miyuki Sawashiro voices Raiden Mei, Raiden Shogun, and Acheron in the Japanese dub. Despite the fact that Acheron’s English dub was revealed to be Allegra Clark rather than Raiden Mei and Raiden Shogun’s VA Anne Yatco, many HoYoverse fans are convinced she is a member of the “Mei-verse.” Similarly, Yatco has expressed her support for Clark’s new post.The character banner for Acheron has yet to be released. She will most likely be playable sometime next year. Fortunately, as players begin exploring Penacony in Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 or Version 2.0, they will quickly come across her.
