Bethesda has given the 13 million people who have played Starfield so far a peek of what’s coming in the space-faring RPG epic in 2024 in a blog post summarizing the game’s performance and what’s to come. It’s a lot, and it’ll happen on the schedule Bethesda Game Studios already set: one significant update every six weeks or so.
What’s Coming to Starfield in 2024?
The Bethesda blog article emphasized that these huge adjustments would begin to roll out in February, allowing 2024 time to settle in before the dramatic changes begin.
These updates will contain previously announced additions such as additional cities, new modes of transportation, and expanded gaming options and accessibility features.
This contains configurable difficulty settings, which allow a player to tailor the game to their specific playstyle.
Aside from those elements, Bethesda mentioned Creations, which will offer the Creation Kit to modders all across the world, inviting tech-savvy gamers to experiment with Starfield and create to their hearts’ content.
This will be implemented alongside significant updates and changes to the ship-building feature, adding more decorations and possibilities to the game.
BGS also stated that the team is “hard at work on the development of Shattered Space,” Starfield’s first (and currently only) story expansion.
This is slated to be launched in 2024 and will add new story content, locales, gear, ‘and much more’ to the game, but no one knows what it is yet.
