Xtreme Gaming vs Team Liquid
The first game in the series contrasted sharply with the previous two. This game lasted almost an hour, 56 minutes to be exact. Team Liquid dominated the majority of the match. About 20 minutes into Xtreme, they had some damage and survivability on their end but couldn’t make it work. They couldn’t wrap their heads around Team Liquid because they lacked a clear goal or concentration. The team wipe made things even more difficult, and despite Wang “Ame” Chunyu’s best efforts to prolong the game on Naga Siren, they were unable to turn it around for themselves.
In the second match, Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi ran all over the map, TL made some amazing movements, and Ame had one of his worst beginnings in recent memory. About 28 minutes in, Team Liquid won a massive team fight that threw the doors wide open. It moved from even to a ten thousand lead. It wasn’t long before Liquid had another successful fight, and the game was almost over.
Team Liquid will continue to compete in the lower brackets until they reach the grand finals.
Xtreme Gaming finishes in 7-8th place, with $35,000 in their pockets.
The action will resume tomorrow, February 13th, with two upper bracket semi-finals.
