PlayStation owners were busy in 2023. Among the big releases of the year were Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Street Fighter 6, Resident Evil 4 (remake), Diablo 4, and Final Fantasy 16. The PlayStation 5 catalogue keeps growing, and it seems likely that the best is still to come for Sony’s current console. Until then, cross-generation games for the PlayStation 4 continue to get affection, giving those who haven’t upgraded plenty to look forward to.

Grounded and Sea of Thieves, two previous Xbox exclusives, are great multiplayer choices with very diverse experiences even though they are both sandbox games. They will soon be available on the PlayStation network. While the latter is an action-adventure game, the former is mostly a survival game.
