Dota 2 veteran MinD_ContRoL kicked from Tundra mid-tournament

Expect the unexpected.

MinD_ContRoL, a legendary Dota 2 offlaner, was thrown off his new team, Tundra Esports, only minutes before a DreamLeague Season 22 match against Shopify Rebellion.
The match between Tundra and SR was briefly delayed, and the news of MinD_ContRoL’s departure spread quickly when he revealed on X (previously Twitter) that Tundra had expelled him from the team during the tournament.
This unexpected development stunned the Dota 2 community, especially as MinD_ContRoL had only joined Tundra a month earlier, on January 8th. To fill the vacuum caused by the departure, Tundra hired Vladislav “laise” Lais, a former NAVI member and top 200 Dota 2 player, as their new offlaner for the match.

Though the dust has yet to settle, the rumor mills have been running nonstop. Tundra appointed retired offlaner Ludwig “Zai” WÃ¥hlberg as general manager on February 23. Given Zai’s offlane past, people are curious about his possible role in MinD_ContRoL’s departure.
While some organizations, such as Team Secret, use memes to mock the situation, MinD_ContRoL recently told AFK Gaming that he misses his previous friends. The former Nigma offlaner was looking forward to a fresh challenge, but his past ties may have played a role in Tundra’s quick decision. MinD_ContRoL left Nigma in 2024, looking for new opportunities in his Dota 2 career. Despite being out of the spotlight in Nigma, the seasoned player’s skills merely improved behind the scenes. Unfortunately for him, his first trip away from his longtime home came to an abrupt end.
