The data hack made public “personal information belonging to our employees, former employees, and independent contractors,” as well as “early development details about Marvel’s Wolverine,” according to Insomniac. The issue is described as “extremely distressing” by the developer. It goes on to say that development on the aforementioned game “is proceeding as planned” and that formal details regarding the PS5 exclusive will be released “when the time is right.”

After a seven-day deadline to pay the ransom, the criminal group apparently revealed 98% of the data it obtained from Insomniac Games. Sony published a statement before the stolen material was shared, but has yet to respond. Meanwhile, internet service providers are issuing DMCA notices to customers who have obtained and downloaded a playable early build of Marvel’s Wolverine.
