In North America, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Has Launched a Collegiate League.

Moonton Games has partnered with tournament organizer Alchemy Esports in California to host a North American collegiate league for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang isn’t as popular in North America as it is in other places. The only North American representative at the most recent M5 World Championship was unsigned team TheOhioBrothers. The squad was able to get a victory and finished 13th-16th out of 22 competitors.

MLBB’s decision to sponsor a collegiate league in North America demonstrates Moonton’s desire in expanding the scene outside Southeast Asia. In addition to its North American collegiate alliance, Moonton enabled Chinese teams to compete in this year’s M5 World Championship for the first time.

The brand-new North American league will consist of around 20 universities from around the United States of America. These teams will be divided into two regions: East Coast and West Coast. Teams in those divisions will participate in an online group stage before moving on to the knockout stage and a regional final. Each region will have one champion, who will be invited to an offline Grand Final versus the other regional champion. The two universities will fight for the lion’s share of a prize pool of $6,000 (£4,700).

Alchemy Esports is a California-based intercollegiate tournament organizer with the goal of popularizing esports culture in the United States. Alchemy Esports collaborates with schools and universities to bring in esports-related majors, produce esports varsity matches, and develop exchange programs and summer/winter camps in addition to developing the MLBB collegiate league.

Signups for the MLBB and Alchemy Esports Academy Campus Tournament are now open. Each invited university’s student union will be in charge of organizing their respective teams and signups.
