PUBG Mobile Esports Announces Major Changes for 2024

PUBG Mobile Esports 2024 Roadmap will feature new global event, expansion of Super league and many major changes.

PUBG MOBILE Esports announces substantial improvements for 2024 ahead of this weekend’s 2023 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship Grand Finals. In 2024, the PUBG MOBILE esports ecosystem will include a whole new global championship, modifications to regional competitions, and much more.In a press conference, James Yang, Senior Director of PUBG MOBILE Global Esports, discussed planned changes. These improvements, which will affect all areas and levels of competition, will make 2024 PUBG MOBILE Esports’ largest and most exciting year ever.

The two existing flagship events PMGC and PMWI are at the pinnacle of PUBG MOBILE Esports competition. The PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) and the new and enhanced midseason event, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be the next exciting chapter of the PMWI. These will be joined by the PUBG MOBILE Global Open, a new third global event. PMGO 2024 will be held in Brazil in March and April.

The PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) is expanding into four locations in the ecosystem’s second tier. Southeast Asia will have three PMSL seasons in 2024, while EMEA (now a single league), the Americas, and Central and South Asia will each have two.

The third tier will include PMSL regional qualifiers, which will connect amateur and semi-professional talents with professional players, giving them the opportunity to advance and qualify upward. Smaller regional leagues and tournaments, such as the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO), will be included in the fourth and final tier.

The Grand Finals of the 2023 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship are expected to take place this weekend, before the alterations implemented next year!
