Valorant Champions 2024, the pinnacle of Valorant esports competition, is set to make its mark as it returns to Seoul, Korea, for the first time in its existence.
The Valorant Champions 2024 venue in Seoul marks an exciting new chapter in the tournament’s history, offering intense matches and amazing experiences for both players and fans.
This prestigious competition, running from August 1 to 24, will bring together the greatest teams from Riot Games’ Valorant Champions Tour Leagues: Pacific, Americas, EMEA, and China.
This is the first time the Valorant World Championship will be hosted in Asia, highlighting the region’s growing importance in competitive gaming. The first Champions tournament of 2021 took place in Berlin, Germany. It was staged in Istanbul the following year, and Los Angeles, California, hosted the event last year.

Riot Games has reinstated the championship point system for the VCT 2024 season, establishing a new qualification standard that will determine which teams will compete in this year’s Valorant World Championship. Here’s how the system operates:
| League Stage games | Teams will earn 1 championship point for each win during League Stage games. |
| Major Events | Teams will earn 3 championship points for emerging victorious in regional Kickoff events, Masters Madrid, Masters Shanghai, Stage 1 Playoffs, and Stage 2 Playoffs. |
All teams will compete in their respective League Kickoff tournaments, with the victor from each region earning three championship points.
The best teams from each of these events will proceed to Masters Madrid, the season’s first international LAN event. There, they will battle for more championship points, bringing them closer to qualifying for Valorant Champions 2024.
Following Masters Shanghai, the teams with the most championship points in their respective regions will qualify for Valorant Champions 2024. The surviving teams will advance to Stage 2, where they will compete for one of the few available spots in Seoul, Korea.
The top three teams from each region in Stage 2 will compete for the Valorant World Championship title.
