CoD devs temporarily take down MW3 and Warzone Ranked Play

Amidst the ruckus, Ranked Play is down.

Widespread server troubles in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone have caused the developers to temporarily halt Ranked Play today while they work on a solution.

Overnight, a mysterious issue in MW3 and Warzone seems to reset players to level one and erase all of their in-game progress. Players determined that the culprit is the Minot Myer bug, which has previously caused problems. The CoD developers acknowledged the problem and told gamers that a remedy is on the way, but for now, all we can do is wait.

MW3 and Warzone Ranked Play disabled on Feb. 23

While players wait for a Minot Hawthorne issue fix, the CoD developers have stated that Ranked Play will be temporarily disabled. “Warzone Ranked Play: Resurgence and MW3 Ranked Play have been brought offline while known progression issues are investigated,” the developers wrote in a statement.

In addition to Ranked Play, the CoD developers disabled Modern Warfare Zombies until the issue was rectified.

When Warzone and MW3 players went in overnight, they were taken aback by the Minot Myer error, which blocks progress in events, challenges, battle passes, SR, and account levels. Some feared that their work might be lost forever, but everything will be back to normal once an update is released to remedy the issue.
Before Ranked Play was removed, the Minot Hawthorne problem was not the only glitch that caused errors. A minor update on February 21 broke Cruise Missiles, rendering it impossible to control the single killstreak available in Ranked Play.
