The previously anticipated Elden Ring DLC has sparked excitement, with Bandai Namco and FromSoftware revealing that the Shadow of the Erdtree teaser will be released soon—and we may even have a release date already set.
According to a Dealabs Magazine post published immediately after FromSoftware announced the release of a gameplay trailer, the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC will be available on Friday, June 21. According to the insider tip, which Dot Esports has translated, June 21 is the most likely release date for a variety of reasons, including the fact that a lot of Elden Ring special editions are scheduled for that day.
According to Dealabs reporter Billbil-kun, there will be two editions: a Game of the Year Edition for €80 (about. $86 USD) and a Shadow of the Erdtree Collector’s Edition for €260 ($280 USD). Both will supposedly include the new DLC. Players who already own the entire game will be able to purchase the DLC separately, although no price has been announced at this time.
While this date is completely speculative, it’s a safe bet that the DLC will be released concurrently, providing everything stays on track at FromSoftware. The hype for Shadow of the Erdtree has grown since developers began teasing the upgrade early last year, with some anticipating the DLC will come in February 2024.
More recently, supporters were notified of a Steam update on January 14 that added a new app to the Elden Ring product lineup. Last month’s update sparked even more anticipation for the trailer announcement on February 20. While some believed February was the greatest month for Shadow of the Erdtree to release because it was the game’s debut anniversary, the DLC is unlikely to arrive alongside tomorrow’s teaser.
Kadokawa, the parent company of FromSoftware, stated that the DLC was still in development in November 2023, but fans will be even more eager for the next update. The trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree will be available at 8:30 a.m. CT tomorrow.
