Germany’s CGN Esports partners with Razer

German esports organisation CGN Esports has announced a partnership with global computer peripherals and hardware brand Razer.

The collaboration will center on CGN’s VALORANT and Fortnite squads, with players outfitted with Razer peripherals and the two businesses collaborating on product development and enhancement.
CGN Esports is a 2020 esports organization based in Cologne, Germany.

The organization is most known for their VALORANT roster, content makers, and involvement in the Cologne esports scene. In its native city, the organization has collaborated with the University of Cologne on many activations and events.

CGN’s VALORANT and Fortnite rosters will benefit from the Razer relationship, with players using Razer peripherals in the future. The two companies stated that, in addition to supplying players with gear, they intend to collaborate closely to transfer players’ experiences into Razer’s goods.

This is not a novel approach by Razer, a hardware company with a long history of collaborations with esports teams throughout the world.

Khang Thai, Razer’s Senior Manager for Global Marketing in Esports, commented on the company’s approach of organizing customized collaborations with high-profile names and engaging the support of its partner teams in an interview with Esports Insider earlier this year.

“Partnering with Razer is a dream come true,” stated David Dick, COO and Co-Owner of CGN Esports. It demonstrates our progression from beginners to a strong force in esports. We are set to achieve new heights in the DACH and international gaming scenes with Razer’s top-tier goods.”
